Excel: Histogram With Variable Class Width, Made Dynamically

In his blog Jon Peltier shows us how to create histograms with variable width columns in Excel: peltier. Nice examples but not very dynamic. In my example, you do the same, but dynamically and in a pretty easy way. The manin trick is done by using the Frequency function.

The first example is based on this table:

Ages Interval Number Class Width Frequency per class width
103 614 43 14,3
80 3212 30 107,1
60 1591 35 45,5
50 2900 40 72,5
25 762 20 38,1
10 142 10 14,2
5 628 5 125,6

In the next example I simply removed some rows from the table:

Ages Interval Number Class Width Frequency per class width
103 614 43 14,3
80 3212 70 45,9
60 5253 55 95,5
10 142 10 14,2
5 628 5 125,6

And immediately I get a different histogram.
